# Ask SaleTides AI

> Ask about your sales, orders, products and customers in plain English, inside SaleTides.

Click the round assistant button at the bottom right of any page and ask a question, for example:

* How much revenue did I make this month vs last month?
* What were my top 5 products last month?
* Which products are low on stock?
* Who are my best customers this year?
* How many new customers did I get this month?

The assistant looks up the live numbers from your store to answer, using the same figures as your reports. It remembers the conversation, so you can follow up with "and the month before?".

The chat shows how many you have left today. For more, [ask from Claude or ChatGPT](/ai/connect-claude-chatgpt) instead: that has no SaleTides limit.

## Privacy

By default the assistant sees your store's totals and reports, not individual orders or customers. The store owner can let it look up individual orders and customers in **Settings → AI Assistant → Let the AI see individual customers and orders**.
