# Refunds

> Track and analyze refunds across your WooCommerce store.

## Refunds overview

The **Refunds** section gives you a complete view of all refunds issued on your store. Navigate to **Refunds** in the sidebar.

## Refund metrics

| Metric                | Description                                     |
| --------------------- | ----------------------------------------------- |
| **Total Refunds**     | Number of refund records in the selected period |
| **Refunded Amount**   | Total value refunded                            |
| **Refund Rate**       | Refunded amount as a % of gross revenue         |
| **Avg Refund Amount** | Average value per refund                        |

## Refunds list

The refunds table shows all refunds with:

| Column   | Description                                |
| -------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| Order #  | Linked WooCommerce order                   |
| Date     | Date refund was issued                     |
| Customer | Customer name and email                    |
| Reason   | Refund reason (if recorded in WooCommerce) |
| Amount   | Refund amount                              |
| Status   | Refund status                              |

Click any row to view the linked order details.

## Filtering refunds

* **Date range** — refunds issued in a specific period
* **Amount range** — refunds above or below a threshold
* **Customer** — search by customer name or email
* **Payment method** — see refunds by payment gateway

## Refund trends

The **Trends** chart shows your refund count and amount over time. Use this to:

* Spot spikes in refund activity (may indicate a product issue or fulfillment problem)
* Track whether your refund rate is improving or worsening
* Compare refund behavior across time periods

## Refunds by payment method

A breakdown of refunds grouped by the payment method used on the original order. Useful for understanding if certain gateways have higher refund rates.

## Monthly analytics

The monthly refund report shows month-by-month:

* Total refunds issued
* Total amount refunded
* Refund rate as % of gross revenue

## Why your refund rate matters

A high or rising refund rate can indicate:

* Product quality issues
* Misleading product descriptions
* Fulfillment or shipping problems
* Customer satisfaction issues

SaleTides tracks trends so you can catch problems early.

## Exporting refund data

Click **Export** to download the refunds list as CSV or Excel.
