Subscription events

Subscription Events: signups, renewals, resubscribes, switches, ended and net subscriptions, with an event breakdown by month

Reports → Subscription Events counts what happened to subscriptions in your dates:

Card	What it counts
Signups	Subscriptions started, with what their first orders brought in
Renewals	Paid renewal orders
Resubscribes	Paid orders restarting a subscription that had ended
Switches	Paid orders moving to a different plan (upgrades and downgrades)
Ended	Subscriptions whose end date fell in the period
Net Subscriptions	Signups minus ended

Signups, renewals, resubscribes and switches are paid orders in your sales statuses. The Event Breakdown table shows each period (day, week or month) with revenue.

Subscription lifecycle

Subscriptions Lifecycle: started, cancelled and net change, by day of the week and by hour of the day

Reports → Subscriptions Lifecycle shows when subscriptions start and get cancelled, in your store’s timezone:

Started, Cancelled (before their end date) and Net Change.
By Day of the Week and By Hour of the Day: when signups and cancellations happen.

A spike in cancellations right after renewal day often means customers are surprised by the charge; a reminder email a few days before can help.
