In most cases, a discrepancy between SaleTides and WooCommerce is explained by one of the reasons below. Work through them before contacting support.
Common causes
1. Timezone mismatch
1. Timezone mismatch
SaleTides displays dates in your configured timezone. WooCommerce admin may use UTC or a different timezone. An order placed at 11pm UTC could appear on a different calendar day in SaleTides if your timezone is UTC+2.Fix: Go to Settings → Localization and confirm your timezone matches the one used in your WooCommerce reports.
2. Order status filter
2. Order status filter
SaleTides defaults to showing Completed and Processing orders in most revenue reports. WooCommerce’s “Total Sales” includes all statuses by default — including Pending, On Hold, and Failed.Fix: Change the order status filter in SaleTides to All Statuses and compare again.
3. Gross vs. net revenue
3. Gross vs. net revenue
WooCommerce may show gross revenue (before refunds) or net (after refunds) depending on the report. SaleTides shows both — make sure you’re comparing the same metric.Fix: Compare SaleTides Net Revenue with WooCommerce’s net sales figure, or Gross Revenue with Gross Sales.
4. Import not complete
4. Import not complete
If the initial import hasn’t fully completed, older orders may be missing from SaleTides.Fix: Check import status from your dashboard home. If incomplete, run a full manual import.
5. Recent data lag
5. Recent data lag
Very recent orders (last few minutes) may not yet be processed through the webhook pipeline.Fix: Wait a minute and refresh — this resolves itself automatically.
6. Tax and shipping inclusion
6. Tax and shipping inclusion
WooCommerce’s revenue metric may or may not include tax and shipping depending on your report settings. SaleTides uses the full order total as recorded in WooCommerce (tax + shipping included).Fix: Check whether the WooCommerce metric you’re comparing to includes or excludes tax and shipping.
7. Guest customers counted differently
7. Guest customers counted differently
WooCommerce may handle guest checkouts differently in its built-in reports. SaleTides includes both guest and registered customer orders in all counts.
Checklist before contacting support
Check you're comparing the same metric
Gross Revenue vs. Gross Sales. Net Revenue vs. Net Sales. Don’t mix them.
